PPF and other small-savings rates, tax slabs, deduction limits, scheme rules and bank interest rates change over time. Default values are clearly marked assumptions that we review periodically; they are not a live feed. Always confirm current figures with the official source — your bank, the National Savings Institute, the Income Tax Department, RBI or SEBI — before making a decision.

We test our formulas against worked examples and correct errors promptly (see our Corrections Policy), but we cannot promise the site is error-free. If a figure matters, verify it independently.
